The family she grew up with was Catholic and she was raised on the Upper East Side in Manhattan. This is why her parents put her into the Convent of the Sacred Heart a religious and elitist school. The passion for music started in the early years of a child. She was taught to play the keyboard as a teenager and, when she was thirteen, wrote her first song. The open mic night was her favorite. She was a huge fan of the Queen Michael Jackson, Madonna as well as David Bowie. Following her graduation from high school, she entered at the Tisch School of Art at New York University to study music. She didn't complete her education. Instead, she started her career in music.
